Interesting Information on Remicade…

Yesterday when I got my shot, it was after a year. My doctors were very worried that I may have developed antibodies to the medicine.

Well luckily I did not have any reactions, I feel great today. BUT my nurses told me that the REAL reaction can happen the 2nd time after you get Remicade after a long time.

So just to note - if you get Remicade after a long time, the reaction can happen the 2nd shot, not the one RIGHT after the one you take after waiting…

Also, the nurses told me that you can get the shot even if you have a reaction! Meaning they just give you benadryl and some Prednisone and finish up the Remicade…

This exactly what happened to me. I had not had it in two years, had the first infusion with no problems and then when I went to have the second insfusion I had a severe reaction. So watch out!
